I was pleasantly surprised by this tea! I was worried at first, but this tea was tasty! It smelled like bubble gum with a hint of fruits, perhaps passionfruit. My boyfriend immediately said “WOW this tea is great!” I agreed. Tastes good with some brown sugar. Yum! Great morning boost.

This isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Refreshing but not as “in your face” as regular mint. Good tea blend for the morning :)

I am enjoying a cup of this at the moment… a nice way to unwind. It is a fairly average Lung Ching – delicious, buttery, and vegetative.

This tea was pretty good, but not really knock your socks off.

The first infusion tastes like earthy and dark, though this immediate impression is offset by refreshing melony sweetness to the finish and a lingering tartness on the tongue. It has a full body and is almost creamy. This is a full-flavored tea relative to other white teas and tastes light and refreshing. Batrachoid

Well, in Zoomdweebie’s defense I think this is more a blending base than something intended to be prepared on its own. Like the bai cha shoes waiting for the right black currant laces.

LeafJoy

@Batrachoid: that’s a good point, maybe I should try to blend it with something. Have any suggestions?

Batrachoid

Anything they’ve used so far, obviously, and from what I’ve had the base mixed into I think it might go well with kiwi but I’m not quite sure how I’d go about doing that…(I only can find candied thick kiwi slices with neon green coloration warning me of the sulphites within).

In the past I haven’t had great luck with citrus flavors in black tea, and this one was no exception. The first time I made it, I wasn’t a big fan. It seemed like the lime and black tea flavors were fighting each other. Today I added some shredded coconut and I might have stumbled onto something. Prepared with almond milk and stevia.

Caitlin

I never thought of adding coconut to tea. I have a lime flavored tea that I must try that with.

I have a love/hate relationship with citrus flavored black teas (and I hate the majority of them). This one is actually pretty good. It’s not a tart or strong lemon flavor, it is more like a lemon creme. The black tea flavor in it is about right, but I think it could get really bitter if oversteeped. Prepared with stevia.

Yikes! A rare miss. I didn’t get strawberry or chocolate from this. I will try different steep times and temps and hope it was just user error. Hope to report back with more positive results in the near future.

Of all the cheesecake blends Frank has this is the first one I truly tasted the cheesecake and that part was by far my favorite experience with this tea. The banana was only slightly present. Nevertheless, not too bad a blend at all.

Okay…I’m being daring here…I HATE BANANAS! No…you don’t understand! I REALLY HATE BANANAS! But…I thought I would challenge myself with this one today.

Thanks for the chance to try LiberTEAs!

The Banana aroma isn’t as intense as I thought it would be and I am thankful for that.
The liquor of the tea is quite light in color for a black tea.
There is a slight cheesecake aroma hiding underneath.

The first sip I took I could taste the banana and made a funny face.
The 2nd sip I could taste something more like Banana Peels then actual Banana.
The 3rd sip there was a certain creaminess to it much like a cheese cake, I suppose, but I’m really not convinced.

Where I would give actually bananas a review of -10 I will NOT rate this tea as such. It wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t finish the cup but I wouldn’t make a purchase just because it was banana.

I will be pretty generic with this rating and since it’s on a scale of 100 I will go a little bit above the middle rating of 50.

I think I’ve tried this one before, but I hadn’t logged it. Having some more this morning (yes, I know it’s not morning, but it is for me).

I am a little surprised by the other tasting notes for this tea, because I can taste the peaches and cream. They meld together quite nicely. I don’t taste the black tea quite as much as I do the peaches and cream… it’s a very nice tea though… perhaps one of my favorites from the mystery boxes I purchased.

Backlogging – I’m surprised I like this as much as I do…

Thanks to LiberTEAs for this one! I have had this one for a little while and forgot that I never tried it…Oops! This one exceeded my expectations! This is great hot or cold! There are equal parts Orange, Spice, and Black Tea! Nicely done, Frank!

I thought I already logged this but apparently I didn’t and I am backlogging it but…I did enjoy it last week…I remember it being Apricoty but a little toned down. I’m thinking because of the brandied aspect. Whereas I don’t think it really tasted like brandy, persay, it did taste like a mixed drink of sorts…not bad at all!

I just tried the Ultimate Citrus Spice tea from 52Teas the other day, and I have to say that I actually like this one better!

The flavor is sweeter and smoother. Nice with a dollop of honey… It would be very good without the sweetener too, but, I like the way orange and honey taste together. Maybe I’ll have to locate the honey flavored black and combine it with this!

LiberTEAS sent me a sample of this, thanks to her I get to try a whole smorgasbord of teas! I’m not too crazy about this one. It’s ok, but I think that something should be stronger, either the lemon or the ginger, wouldn’t matter to me which one. I would drink this again if offered (and I will finish the sample) but I wouldn’t purchase.

This is a very good Keemun. Very bold. Malty! Undertones of spice and fruit. And a distant smoky note that adds a sort of caramel sweet note to cut through a little bit of the edge of it.

Since I’m up rather early this morning and not going to go back to bed… I need THIS!

I’ve eager to try this iced but my first encounter was a hot cup tonight. It’s was alright! It was more cran than cherry but the cran wasn’t bitter and the cherry wasn’t really that of a BING Cherry but you could still tell it was some sort of cherry. Neither flavor over powered the black tea taste – which is good. HOT I think this is ‘ok’ but I have higher hopes for the ICED version.

Meh.

Pumpkin flavored black sums it up. I wouldn’t want any more pumpkin flavor with this one – it’s right where it needs to be. Having said that…it’s not on my top 30 from Zoom/52 Teas…but that’s ok…there are tons more to choose from! It’s not bad, just not great.
