(backlogging from yesterday)

Had the bagged tea again and brewed for three minutes. Just a tad too much “cream” flavour but otherwise very enjoyable. One of my favourite blends when brewed correctly!

I am curious to try earl grey cream (or creme) blends by other tea companies to see if they’re all this good… when brewed correctly, this is definitely one of my favourite teas! I seem to have better luck with the bagged version (I bought both loose and bagged… that’s how much I loved it after I tried it in a VT restaurant), probably because it’s portion-controlled. I tend to add too much on my own, and brew it for too long.

Two thumbs up today!

They may very well be using a blend that other companies are using – I know that SpecialTeas’ Earl Grey de la Creme (my favorite) is identical to a few other tea companies’ (Pearl Tea comes to mind).

Love this! A little goes a long way (which I finally learned after a few tries).

Trying bagged instead of loose this time—equally good (but again, I oversteeped it a bit and it’s not quite as amazing as usual).

Added a bit too much tea when I brewed this and it brought out a strange flavour (the creme)… kind of odd. I’ll be careful to add less next time!

I was served this tea in a Vermont restaurant one holiday while staying with family. I saved the teabag so that I could order some in the future, but they didn’t have an online store set up at the time. Finally got around to ordering some and it’s just as good as I remembered!

The cream flavour is really nice—this is definitely the best out of any of the cream teas I’ve tried!
