I keep coming back to this herbal tea. It’s a regular, and I drink it in quantity. Very reasonably priced.

This is one of my favorite herbal teas. It’s a little like lemongrass without lemon; grassy but unlike a grassy green teas. Fresh, clean, light, and crisp. I prefer this to red rooibos very strongly; it lacks a certain objectionable quality in the aroma of the red tea.

rmark25

Thanks. You just reminded me…my friend just came back from South Africa to visit family and I asked her to bring me back some Rooibos!
I also reminds me that I need to try green Rooibos alone without any added flavors

Absolutely the best first flush I have ever had, perhaps the best Darjeeling I’ve ever had. Can’t say enough good about it

Jillian

Lets see how many fancy-sounding prefixes we can add to this tea name!!! XD

Marlena

Well yes, but they all mean something. It was grown on Arya Estate. It was from the first flush of new leaves, the first plucking of the season. It was from the 15th lot of that picking and Diamond is the highest tasting rating for very special teas from this company.

High quality Ceylon base, but the Earl appears to not be at home

Hated it – it tasted like bad spinach. Just as well – very expensive

Excellent tea from an excellent estate, spicey, floral, tastes of harvest fruits

This has a good clean scent, the brew is much sweeter and cleaner than the usual Assam, with touches of apricot, and coacoa overlaying the malt.

Pretty good! You don’t want to use as much tea as they say, but half that amount and 3 min infusion turns out a great cup…

An absolutely delightful caramel-flavored black tea. This tea has just the right amount of sweetness (it doesn’t taste sugary), and has a distinct caramel flavor, which doesn’t obscure the flavor of the tea itself. I have purchased this tea several times, and continue to keep it on my shopping list.

A perfect fall tea- warm, spicy, with a hint of citrus. Upton’s description speaks of drinking in front of a fire, and I can’t imagine any better way to enjoy this tea.

Fragrance of cloves and a note of apples. It tastes primarily of cloves but there is a sweet mixture of tastes below that strong note of cloves. It is, overall, an average chai. I like it but there are chais I love. This one may improve by being prepared in the traditional way: simmering in milk or by being steeped longer.

LENA

what kind of chai’s do you love? who makes them? i’m on a real chai kick right now!

A slightly cloudy green-tan liquid with the hypnotic smell of rose petals. Despite its sweetness it has a slight bitterness that is unpleasant. I think the bitterness is actually coming from the rose petals rather than the tea. The tea itself is submerged under the rose petal taste. Not one of my favorites.

Pretty pale green color. Slight smell of turpentine but it tastes ok.

Developed more turpentine as it cooled.

Carolyn

Very ew. It turned out that as the tea cooled the turpentine note came into its own. I couldn’t finish the tea. It is off my list of ok teas.

Rose Congou is an amazing tea with a comforting hint of rose. Not overwhelming at all and one of my favourite teas to curl up with after a hard day.

This one has beautiful long slender leaves that tangle together and produce a coppery broth with fragrance notes of mint and a light spice. It has a strong tea taste with some tannins but no bitterness. Overall, it is one my favorites of the blacks I’ve tried.

It sounded so wonderful in the description but it is disappointing in person. The tea is harsh and, while the spices are fragrant in the bag, their flavor rapidly falls away once the hot water is poured upon the leaves.

takgoti

That is easily the biggest letdown for me when it comes to tea [the lack of flavor when the hot water comes to the party]. Hate it hate it hate it.

Jillian

Could the water be too hot maybe?

Carolyn

It asks for 212 degree water and that is what I provided.
