Dry Leaf: Looks like Lemongrass and has a very faint smell of Lemon.
Wet Leaf: Lemongrass changes colors…everything from shades of greens, yellows, browns, and even a few tans. Aroma once wet it seems to activate the Lemongrass and the scent is much more strong. Smells like Lemon Pledge.
Liquid: Near Clear…just the ever so light coloring of pale yellow.
Herbal Infusion Taste: Very pleasant and thirst-quenching. The taste is not overly lemon…but you can still tell it’s lemongrass. The Lemongrass taste seems to be matched with an earthy/grass taste.
This is tasty!

I like the smell of Lemon Pledge … unfortunately, it doesn’t materialize at my house often, in my teacup or on the furniture.

Dry leaf smells like sweet basil, almost…with a tinge of mint underneath. The leaves are a fuzzy/frosty water/gray in color…

Wet leaf has a very vegetal scent.

It’s a very light and clean taste with a refreshing and relaxing sip all the way thru. D-lish!

The color of the liquid is a very, very light brown with a yellowish hue.

Oh…again, this is the loose leaf…

First cup of the day! Not as strong as I wanted for my first cup today but pretty tasty regardless!

It’s been a while since my last experience with Teatulia Teas. I’m so happy to be re-introduced to them again!

This is a nice medium brown color and medium black tasting tea. I agree with the previous reviewer saying this is very clean tasting. It does seem to energize me – maybe because it’s just a nice even type black tea. Not a lot of fuss but still true black. There is a bit of maltiness towards the end of the sip. I like this!

I should probably mention that this is the Loose Leaf. I have a bagged sample as well but haven’t tried it yet.

It’s a beautiful tea with long leaves that you can watch unfurl as you tumble boiling water into your glass. The tea is a wonderful amber-orange color, with a very smooth and clean taste. The recommended brew time is two minutes, but I left the teabag inside while I enjoyed my cup. I normally find this makes black tea too bitter but Bengal Breakfast is simultaneously bold and mild and there is the slightest hint of silky sweetness in the aftertaste. I have been looking for a good AM tea and whereas Teatulia’s Neem Nectar was a little too sharp for me, Bengal Breakfast is perfect.

I’m trying to make the switch back from coffee to tea and I decided to give this tea another try this morning. The “neem” is definitely an acquired taste. When you keep the brew to about four minutes, the tea is infinitely better. It’s still a little bitter but with a good roundness and a subtle hint of sweetness. Adding sugar improves this tea immensely (though I really dislike sweetening my teas). The texture really reminds you of the name of the tea, the “nectar.” A good AM tea, if you are craving something that is a little astringent but not harsh.

Bold, but boring. Seems like a great company (organic, socially responsible, single-garden, cool packaging) but I never get excited about this tea. Perhaps I just need to add a sweetener..

I was surprised to see this not already on Steepster so I had to add it!
This tea is simply a blend of Teatulia’s Black tea and Tulsi or ‘Holy Basil’.
So simple but quite complex. The smell is hard for me to place, it really just smells like tea in a garden on a warm day. The thing I enjoy most about it is none of the flavors overshadow one another, they simple synchronize so perfectly they create there own flavor. Very smooth with a bold mouth feel and hints of subtle spice and non-sugary sweetness playing on the tip of the tongue. I really wish I could explain it more in depth but I haven’t quite had enough time to fully explore the complexity myself. Tulsi itself is an extremely religious plant and is an important plant in Ayurvedic medicine as a component for longevity and as a remedy for the cold as a painkiller a stomach soother and much more. It is high in antioxidants and known for being able to reduce blood glucose and cholesterol levels as well as aid the treatment of some poisons! Really fascinating stuff indeed, If you are interested in the health properties, religious aspects or just feeling like something a little different I definitely reccomend this!

Just picked this up today. So far, not bad…a good everyday green tea. I’ll probably take it to work so that I can make my Histoire Tibetaine last longer :)

Best lemongrass I’ve tried. As rich as any tea, buttery, not pungent. Wow.

TeaCast

Oooooooh. Love me some lemongrass.

This is a solid Assam tea. Middle-to-heavy body, packed with flavor, and an after-taste that lingers for the rest of the morning. I love this tea.

Had some of this ICED with dinner – as I mentioned earlier today I was going to do. This was great ICED. I like stronger black teas for ICED Teas too!

Jillian

I had a cup of this before leaving the house this morning. Last time around I did the loose leaf version…this time around a bagged version. I really enjoyed my cup and went a 2nd cups-worth and put it in the frig for dinner tonight. I’ll take a look-see about the iced version. I did notice with the bagged it surely tastes like Earl Grey but light on the bergamot and natural tasting…not fake. YUM

SoccerMom

OMG you are at it again!

This was the first tea I tried from Teatulia. I wrote a more lengthy review on my Tea Blog on Blogget last summer…check it out

I’m drinking this now…

I received this in the mail as a free sample. I will also be blogging about it on my teablog. When I first opened the plastic wrapping it smelled reminiscent of dryer sheets but not in a bad way…it was a very clean and almost floral type smell. On 2nd sniff you could start smelling the tea a bit more. It steeps fairly quickly. The coloring is a dark brown – common for the black teas. The scent after steeping is also typical black tea type smell. The taste is very nice. It’s a black tea, indeed, but with hints of other elements…just a tad of Bergamot and a bit peppery taste. It’s really quite delightful! In addition, the website and blog are great and their causes are good ones! This seems to be one company that does things right! Thumbs up!
