The overriding flavor is fruity. I can’t pick out a specific fruit so the berries and apricot are expertly balanced. There is cinnamon at the end of the sip, so in a way it tastes like cobbler. I think the bit of spice is what makes this blend so unique and helps it stand out from your everyday fruity tea.

Finished this off this morning, and I think it really is the base that is my problem with these blends. They are just not really working for me, with an unfortunate bitter edge.
Ah well, a Sipdown, anyway.

I’m coming to the conclusion that the base used for Mountain Witch teas is just not for me. I find it bitter in each of the blends I’ve tried so far, which is really too bad.
This particular blend, in addition to the faint bitterness of the base, has a curiously candy like aftertaste. I don’t get the sweet cherry flavor until after the sip, which makes me feel like I must have eaten a jelly belly, and forgotten all about it.
The rose petals, while present in the tea, don’t really impact the flavor, but I’m not quite sure how much a rose “presence” in this tea would really heighten the flavors.
Hmm.

This is a very earthy cinnamon. It has none of the sweetness of Glitter & Gold, and none of the spiciness of Hot Cinnamon Sunset. I hardly feel like there is cinnamon in it at all.
Oh well, at least its a Sipdown!

Man, nothing is working for me, cinnamon-wise, today.
I had some of the sample I got of this, and while I could taste a hint of cinnamon, there was neither any sweetness, no impressive warmth from it. It mostly was watery too me, which is really too bad.

I decided to have the second half of my sample pouch after lunch.
Its just not the tea for me, and I still found the base somewhat bitter.
Ah well. A sipdown!

So this was one of the samples that had been lurking, uncataloged, at the bottom of my sample bowl. I am determined to give it a try, so I plopped it into my work bag, and here we are.
Its a very generous sample, easily two big mugs or a small pot. As I only have a mug at work, I thought I’d brew up half of the sample.
I’m not a lover of tropical flavors. They’ve just never done anything for me. But I’m also finding the base to this tea to be a bit bitter. I’m not sure that the blend is, well, blending properly.
I’m not going to have the other half of this immedietly, but I will have it soon. My cupboard is starting to really freak me out!

And a sipdown!
I’m glad I brought this with me to work, and actually worked on drinking it down. I’ve enjoyed it!
This smaller cupboard size is still rather amazing to me, and I’m feeling so productive in my sipdowns!
Another tea now needs to be picked for the work desk!

There are ten teas in my cupboard. Ten teas. I feel like some sort of person on a holy fast or something like that.
Zounds. Can I remember the last time my cupboard was this small? (No).
I’ve been trying to find the perfect cupboard size, where I have options but am not overwhelmed. And this number of teas is too small, if I am honest. I feel like some sort of tea minimalist!
Fall ordering can start this weekend, and I will feel much better with a few more options.
But, this small cupboard is making me drink things that have been ignored. This got brought to the office, as the work tea, and I’d forgotten it was so nice.
I’m a little sensitive to jasmine, I can usually only work one cup of jasmine tea before I start to feel slightly ill, but as long as I stick to the one cup a day rule, this is really nice. The jasmine isn’t overpowering, and the flavor is delicate and pleasant.
And I’d been ignoring it for way too long, so I’m happy to be drinking it!
Ten teas. Eeeeeek.

I loovvvveee this one. I saw their website the other day though…. it looks like their tea page is under construction so I really hope they didn’t stop selling tea.

I am going to reserve judgement on this one, as I oversteeped it. The result is a bitter, almost burnt tasting blend.
Sigh. I’ll try again, and report back with more accurate findings.

Sipdown from yesterday!
I have enjoyed this blend. Its light, floral without being overpowering, and just a really nice, springy sort of blend.
But I am glad to add another tea to the sipdown list!

I am getting very close to the bottom of this tin, and I am getting excited. I’ve liked this, but I am ready for another sipdown!

I thought I was nearly done with this, but whoops, I found some extra hidden at the back of my cupboard.
This right here is the reason I am on such a sipdown kick! I want to know how much tea I have.
Well, lets keep sipping.

You are fortunate to just have one cupboard.

I am feeling tea-productive. I am loving watching my cupboard numbers go down, and its filling me with pride, energy, and tea appreciation!
The ideal cupboard future is smaller, so that teas like this one, which is perfectly nice, don’t get neglected for as long as this one unfortunately did.
No more! Keep on drinking, get that cupboard manageable, and enjoy.
Not yet to a sipdown on this one, but soon!

Yes, that is my problem right now. I don’t have hundreds of teas, but I have enough that some always get pushed to the back and don’t get enjoyed for months. The trouble is there are so many interesting teas that I want to try!

^This. But Rosehips inspires me with her tea project. Let’s see if her inspiration leads to my action. That’s the trick.

I am very pleased. What was initially threatening to be A Day, is mellowing into simply a day, which is a very welcome development.
I still have lots to do today, but its not dire, and the major problems are being solved much faster than anticipated, and I hope the rest of the week (and my life, honestly) goes like that.
A floral tea is just right for Valentines day, and it was particularly floral today. As I like floral teas, I am not at all disappointed.

I am so crushingly tired today. I am so freaking glad it is Friday.
This cup of tea was rather small, but even the small quantity helped enormously.

Hope you got some rest!

This is an easy tea to drink, and an easy tea to leave notes for- not a complicated tea, but a nice one!

Maybe its the uncommonly spring-like weather we are having, but I am waaay digging this.
Its light, its floral without tasting like soap or perfume, its just a really pleasant cup of tea.
Good choice for the work desk, self. This is working out great.

Ooof, what a day so far. And its not over yet.
Thank goodness for nice, gentle teas to help me through the days obstacles.

So the Groundhog saw his shadow, but I’m eschewing the six more weeks of winter in favor of a spring-like tea.
I don’t know why this has been so long neglected in my cupboard (other than my massive stash of teas, that is). Its quite nice, light, with lots of tasty floral flavor and a hint of fruitiness to it. Its come along to be the next work tea, where I am looking forward to drinking more of it.

Second cup was also to be a bath of warm floral tea, so I grabbed for this.
Its still very delicate, barely perceptible as a floral, but thats a quality that actually works in its favor.
This is going to be an excellent writing tea, as you don’t need to pay too much attention to it, but it goes down easy.

This is nice!
Its a very subtle fruit and flower black tea, but the flavors are well blended, and it goes down very smoothly. I am enjoying it a great deal.
Alright, chalk one up to Mountain Witch teas!

This was finished off yesterday, and I am so pleased. This tin was bottomless, but now it is all done, making room for news teas.
Final thoughts are that its not a hugely impressive, but not offensive vanilla black, and made a good work tea.
But today, a sipdown!
