First…thank you LiberTEAs for sending this my way!

2nd…every assumption and thought I had holding me back from having a cup I am now completely throwing out the window! This was a complete surprise and in a good way! It proved me wrong in every way and I’m happy about that!!!!

I was so worried this was going to be TOO Gingery for me…it wasn’t…

The Lemongrass totally evened that out…both the lemon grass AND the ginger are gentle yet flavorful and pair well together! I wouldn’t change the ratio any…it’s good the way it is!

I can’t really smell the licorice but I can taste it a little bit and with the licorice and the pepper pairing they also work nicely together and are subtle…again, thanks to the lemongrass.

I can smell the peppermint but the taste of the peppermint really isn’t the flavor in the forefront…it’s just enough to be there – in comparison I would say a little less than the licorice. Maybe moreso in the aftertaste, however.

This is very different yet quite good and I am so pleased it’s NOT ‘run of the mill’ and even more so excited that it’s more than just ginger!

This is nice!

Just finishing up a cup of this now. I am finding this tea to be particularly comforting and soothing after a spicy meal at dinner time. Tummy was starting to feel a little upset, but this tisane calmed it right down… Because of that, I have to give it a few more points!

This is a very interesting herbal – all the flavors are very well represented in my cup, and it makes for a very unusual yet tasty tea.

The ginger and licorice seem to be the strongest flavors here, and I like how they taste together. The sweetness of the licorice seems to accent the peppery notes of the ginger (the pepper also highlights this quality of the ginger), while the warmth of the ginger really plays to the sharp notes of the licorice. It’s very interesting and deliciously different.

The lemongrass offers a sweet, smooth lemony flavor that adds a bright, fresh taste to the cup. And the peppermint sneaks up and kicks in right at the finish – very crisp and clean tasting.

I am really enjoying this – much more than I thought I would. It’s tasty!

I am finishing off the last that I have of this tea. I forgot to set my timer, so I oversteeped it, but it is still good. It has a little more astringency than I would be experiencing if I had steeped it at the right time. But it doesn’t have a bitter taste to it. Just a little more astringency.

It is still pleasantly flavorful. Not the best Earl Grey that I’ve tried, but it’s delicious.

I am going to raise the numeric rating of this because I toyed around a bit with the brewing parameters. It is much better if the kettle is pulled just before it reaches the boiling point. I think that this is true of most Darjeeling teas.

The bergamot is strong in this blend and plays well with the muscatel notes in the Darjeeling tea. The woodsy notes of the Darjeeling seem to meld with some of the floral notes of the bergamot, giving the fruit more opportunity to be more citrus-y and less flowery… I would say that this is a masculine Earl Grey. Very clean and bright in flavor.

The bergamot is strong, but, I can also taste the Darjeeling tea here. I have usually always liked the Darjeeling Earl Grey teas, if for no other reason than they are a bit different from the usual blends… so I am also quite fond of this one.

The Darjeeling seems to glisten on the tongue – I can taste hints of muscatel as they mingle with the bergamot. A very pleasant blend.
