I actually made two cups off of one teabag and intend to use it again tomorrow at breakfast, since this is the only bag I have of this tea. It’s delicious! Similar to London Cuppa, which is my current favorite, but it has a little more heartiness that’s hard to pin down. Excellent with milk and honey.

Was excited to try this tea out, so I saved it for a particularly tough day, when I would need something special to get me through every thing. As I waited for it to finish steeping, I realized that a multitude of tea dust was floating on the surface of the water and that the bag I had was ripped. Shit. The sip I did take of it was great, and it smelled wonderful, but I didn’t need to be eating leaves as I studied for my mid term. Maybe I’ll actually get a decent cup of this, one day.

Has a one-note sort of taste. Not objectionable, but definitely not exciting.

Thank you, teawing (who I will always think of as twing), for the sample of this oolong!

The tea leaves are dark, and smell woodsy. 195/3 min. The tea’s liquor, when steeped, is also a dark amber color. The tea is nice and robust. It has a very full flavor. I didn’t find it sweet at all, nor fruitlike in flavor, just that strength in the woodsy taste. It’s simply a solid, enjoyable oolong.

Thanks, teawing!

Wow! Went random tea shopping with my sister today, and this was my never-tried-before tea choice. This is delicious! I love the color. It’s fantastic with milk and sugar. It has sort of a creamy sweetness to it. So nice. I’m so glad I picked this tea!

P.S. I’ve now tried English, Irish, and Scottish Breakfast tea. Is there a Welsh Breakfast tea?

Flavor: strong astringent black tea, bitter when oversteeped
Body: Medium
Aftertaste: bitter when oversteeped

We got the chance to use this new and beautiful, but very hot, tea pot. Charu had just returned from India with some tea (not this one, another one) and some pretty wine glasses and tea service set. We rummaged through the cupboards at MilitaJim’s parents place for tea and had some lovely english breakfast. We should have tried it with a splash of milk as well, oh well.

Post-Steep Additives: honey
It was much sweeter, and enjoyable, with some honey

Resteep: 4+ minutes, weak and watery but drinkable

Boiling 3 min, 0 sec

Were this not a decaf tea, I would have given it a lower rating.

It is a serviceable but unimpressive decaffeinated black tea. It gets bitter when steeped for just two minutes. But let it steep for less time, and the flavor is not very well developed and the brew is watery.

Yet the flavor that remains is the good flavor of a dark English Breakfast Ceylon or Assam tea.

It does not have any of the sour or artificial qualities of the worst decaffeinated black teas. It is better than decaffeinated Lipton, Tetley or PG Tips.

It is very similar to “Twinings English Breakfast Tea, Decaffeinated.” http://steepster.com/teas/twinings/2961-english-breakfast-decaf

A bold black tea with a hint of raspberry is delicious with milk and a little honey for an afternoon treat.

Today is a prefect pre-Summer Coastal California day. This was my choice for a mid afternoon cup of refreshment and it’s just as described, “Fresh and clean with an alluring fruity flavour” which came alive when sweetened with a bit of honey.

This morning I woke up with this deliciously rich full bodied tea, added a spoon of honey and bit of milk. It was wonderful; perfect for kick-starting my morning, since I still had a lot of work to do left over from yesterday.

Wondering what I’m working on? I’m assembling 270 English Breakfast teabags in greeting cards for a special order. I’ll be posting it shortly at http://kimberlyshaw.typepad.com if you’re curious. If not, that’s OK, I deffinately recommend this tea.

I had a lot of work to get done today and this brew is bold enough to help keep me focused without making me jittery. Since it’s a black tea, I personally drink it with milk.

I adore this teas smooth rich flavor and aroma, and can easily drink it every day. It comes loose or in in a teabag. The quantity in Harrisons & Crosfield’s teabag is a generous amount making it wonderful with milk and honey. A couple of cups of this brew and I’m ready for just about anything.
