Another tea from Izzy. I just can’t help myself, but I need to try all the tea before… before what Martin?

Anyway, as it’s evening already, a caffeine-free tea is a must. I don’t want another day when I fell asleep midnight and waking up at 5 o’clock.

A mint tea seemed as a good idea as… I don’t know. I just didn’t wanted another fruit blend. And yep, there are some interesting blends!

A mint with some vitamins sounds good in this tricky time. And higher immunity is always welcomed.

But the taste and aroma is dismal. It is strongly medicinal, artificial vitamins. A bit fruity note is there as well. Taste is smooth, though and expected more minty taste. It’s there though, but quite weakly.

I have a “caffeine cut-off” hour when I switch to herbal teas so I don’t mess with my sleep schedule, too!

Mint often makes me feel very relaxed, so it may help with sleep!

Mastress Alita: Sometimes caffeine doesn’t have the boosting effect on me, but sometimes it just does; so I am rather cutting the caffeine.

ashmanra: Yep, mint is quite relaxing for me as well. I slept like a baby :D

A tea bag I have received from Izzy. Thank you!

Breakfast pairing: Bun with cheddar cheese, choco-caramel flavoured milk… and this tea. So, my points of view can be affected.

Anyway, dry aroma is not very nice. It is again that artificial, medicinal aroma. Brewed it is different though.

It is still somehow medicinal, but as well bit malty becasue of base tea. It is Assam, which is malty (no shit, Sherlock), but still quite light. I think I notice some spices, as cinnaomon and cardamom mostly?

But in taste? It reminds me rather Tiramisu than an vanilla tea. At least it is not super-sweet, as I was afraid (bad experience with Vanilla flavours). Yeah, vanilla is there – as well some… coffee like flavours? How weird! Medicinal flavours aren’t present at all. It is actually very nice tea without some off notes (in taste).

Hurray!

drank Summer Orange by Eloments

Well, another tea from Izzy, thank you!

The aroma (of dry bag) is not very pleasing, artificial, like vitamin pills. But when brewed this medicinal notes disappear and it was nice orange scent with nice orange flavour. Yeah, I kinda liked it though it is another herbal (and fruit) blend. It was quite mouthwatering, refreshing, not tart at all; but I guess it won’t be my orange tea to go.

Flavors: Herbs, Medicinal, Orange

First tea from my Eloments stash. A new tea company discovery this month. Tea bags, yes, but also the most thorough attention to sustainable sourcing, organic farming and fairtrade practices that I’ve found from any tea company.

This was tasty although not as tasty as the description sounds. It’s sweet and light and herbaceous which takes a while to get used to because this is an Assam based tea. It works though. There’s a creamyness that reminds me of milk chocolate with rich vanilla and malt notes.

It’s just the texture and body is so light. The contrast of rich and light is notable.

That herby flavour comes from the plant extracts added. Because this is a vitamin tea that provides 40% of your daily intake of 9 vitamins. It’s an interesting concept, having vitamin enriched teas. I’m sure the tea purists are shuddering at the thought. I quite like it though. I just wish you couldn’t taste the herbs.

Nonetheless, a good tea. A reputable company. Health benefits… maybe. For someone with no known deficiencies and a fairly balanced diet, like me, I’m not sure the vitamin tea has much impact. Promising concept though. If I ever did need to take vitamins I’d rather drink a cup of herbaceous tea than swallow a pill.
