Smells great and true.Nice color for a green. I really like the way this one tastes! The Apricot highlights are PERFECT for this tea!

A nice spice scent prior to steeping. While and after steeping it’s a slight spice with almost a citrus hint or two. Looks like a pale black or herbal tea when it comes to the coloring. I kind of thought this would be spicier but am glad it isn’t. A nice change from the over the top and dark spiced bagged teas. I like this one – glad I got it!

This is very rich and has an almost metallic bite to it (which I think would be greatly improved by a teaspoon or so of agave). Definitely buying the next size up.

This does in fact make delightful iced tea; so much so that I doubt I will ever drink it hot again, because that would be wasting it. :)

Lime has always been one of my favorite flavors in everything from juice to candy, but I still don’t think I’ve ever encountered a retail product quite so !! as this. It’s almost overpowering when brewed hot, so I can see why people who aren’t as enamored of the flavor are turned off, but I have a feeling this would make absolutely divine iced tea.

Nearing the end of the supply I bought when I found out this was being discontinued. To make it stretch since I’ve gotten pretty fond of it, I’ve brewed two teaspoons of this and three of Adagio’s English Breakfast in this pot. The pineapple taste is less powerful this way, but I honestly like it better. I can enjoy the Ceylon paired with the standard English breakfast’s smooth malt flavor.

Although the pineapple taste didn’t carry over to tea form very well, I still enjoyed this blend. It’s good hot, but much better iced. The flavor kinda makes me think of pina coladas. When I found out it was being discontinued, I bought a lot of it.

I enjoy this quite a bit, it was one of my first introductions to Oolong and I am certainly glad for it. Has an earthy smell to it, almost musky. Flavor is somewhat strong but by no means overpowering. Very green tasting, though a bit bitter on the way down.

This is a pretty good tea. The only issues I have with it, are the facts that it a) need a sweetener, and b) the leaf is small enough, that it always falls through my infuser (aka, it needs to be in a filter). Other than that though, it works well for a sweet pick me up in the mornings..

Still on vacation, but taking a moment with Steepster. A moment away from reading and savoring the fact that my cell phone is turned off. Yes, I’m one of those people that Christmas makes miserable.

Anyway, I went through the entirety of my sample pouch in one night. We stayed up talking and getting drunk, sipping tea in between. As usual, when I serve this tea to groups, it’s always a big hit. And it was. I had three cups, myself, at least. Though by the end, I’m not sure how much it was. It’s all a bit hazy. But now my boyfriend’s mom, who we’re visiting, has ordered the pound bag.

If you haven’t given guanabana a chance, and you like fruit teas, this is something one should have at least once.

Guanabana! ♥ Again, I haven’t ordered this tea in 2 years, and it looks like another blend Adagio has stepped up a bit. Last I saw it, the Ceylon leaf was lower quality, and there were much fewer sunflower petals. Plus, I don’t remember there being actual chunks of dried guanabana in it at all. But I could be remembering that wrong.

This was one of my absolute favorite teas for a long time. I used to make it for friends all the time in the summer of 2009. Tasting it again now, I still feel very strongly about it. It’s fruity in a serious way, but it also has a sort of toasted sugar taste and scent, like someone caramelizing it in a pan. But mostly, since I’ve still never tasted real guanabana, I compare it to starfruit. It has that sort of tart floral/citrusness that really appeals to me.

Happy to have this in the cupboard again. Might go for a 4oz again once I get low.

Nothing but love, love, love for guanabana! I need to get myself a big tin of this. It does taste very exotic in a way that’s hard to describe. There is a sort of strawberry-ish flavor, and definitely some citrus, but otherwise… this is just a tea you have to try to understand. It’s a favorite for me, and my friends really like it, too. Last time I made tea at a friend’s house, everyone ended up drinking two cups. It’s especially yummy with a glob of honey.

Took a cup with me to work today. I’m starting to think my stash is going stale. It seems like the flavor is weaker than it used to be. I remember this being a particularly strong black. But my tin is at least two years old, so maybe it’s fading because of that. I should never buy a pound of tea again. I have way too much flavor ADD for that.

Nooo, why did it have to get cold again? I thought we were done with that!

I was going to have this iced as soon as I got up, but I changed my mind after stepping outside for a moment. Anyway, I’ve got a tall glass and am sipping away. I’ve reviewed this at least 5 times now, and should probably stop.

Made a tall glass last night with minimal sugar. I’m slowly trying to break myself of my lifetime habit of over-sweetening my tea. I know in some cases it compromises the tea’s flavor instead of enhancing it. Also, I’ve noticed the more active, serious Steepsterites I watch all seem to forgo sweeteners. Their comments on a tea’s natural sweetness makes me curious to see what I’ve been missing.

Anyway, this was tasty as usual.

Made a pot of this in my ingenuiTea. Kicking back on my day off, trying to get better. Strong Ceylon and sweet plum with a hint of something I still can’t place, like vanilla. My stash is officially half gone forever.

Having a tall glass of this iced, brewed with the half-crushed remains of my 4 oz. tins of Adagio’s English Breakfast and Ceylon Sonata mixed in. I’ll miss Ceylon Sonata…

But anyway, this was sweetened with plain sugar, with little shark-shaped ice cubes mixed in. It’s strong and refreshing. The plum flavor overshadows everything in this particular batch, but I welcome that. Glad I still have a lot of this left.
