drank Jaffa Cakes by Cuppa Geek

Another one bites the dust!

Youngest gave me a bag of food and tea goodies for my birthday, and one of the gifts was JAFFA CAKES! The actual cookies! We had a discussion about them when this tea came out and she was sure she had eaten them and that they tasted a lot like orange Pims.

Naturally I had to make a pot of Jaffa Cakes to go with the cookies last night!

When I suggested this one she said she has not really been drinking or digging much black tea lately and was pretty surprised when I told her she would like this since it was a honeybush.

She didn’t just like it, she LOVED it, so I sent the couple of remaining teaspoons home with her and I will re-order more for me!

This looks almost as dark as some black teas in the cup and you wouldn’t guess it was a caffeine free herbal from sight or scent. Youngest said she thought the honeybush was really enhancing the orange. She was quite passionate about the orange flavor in it and waxed poetic about the glory of orange and there was also a small tirade about lemon and its inferiority and how it can just…well, there was a tirade. She prefers orange.

This one is a keeper and I hope it never goes away.

Ha ha, I can just imagine the orange tirade… I happen to love both orange and lemon for different reasons!

I hope you had a delightful birthday, ashmanra!

Thank you! It was a gorgeous day and after doing a tiny bit of yard work and helping a neighbor with hers briefly, we really just sat outside and talked almost all day!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
