I did two infusions on this tea today and really enjoyed it. I never tried more infusions but I suspect it does not have quite the lasting power of the sencha I had yesterday from the same company. However, this is more of my type of tea. A good umami taste but not overly strong. A bit grassy and a slight astringency. There’s a lighter sweetness to it and a slight nuttiness that comes through. Overall, a pretty good one to brew casually with cup and infuser.

Flavors: Astringent, Grass, Nutty, Sweet, Umami

It’s more of a no fuss tea compared to the other one. Some of the high quality Japanese teas can be a bit fussy with the brewing.

Green teas are my favourite teas but I also enjoy: white, some herbal, rooibos, raw pu’erh, light oolongs, a little bit of black , and a little bit of ripe pu’erh. I have moved away from artificial flavourings and there’s hardly anything left in my cabinet with artificial flavouring or colours. It is mostly straight teas or tea blends.
