2965 Tasting Notes
Continued celebration of my mothers birthday by drinking all the pumpkin teas.
I got this as a sample from ROT, so it will be a sample sipdown as well.
This tastes like pumpkin pie spice, which is exactly what it is billed as, isnt it? Its got a decent underlying pumpkin quality which is good. Pie like, and good.
Its my mothers birthday today, and in celebration, I am drinking all the pumpkin teas I own, as pumpkin is her favorite flavor. So much so that we always have pumpkin pie for the celebrations, instead of birthday cake!
The reviews of this were facinating, and all over the board. I could expect anything from an overhyped weak tea, to a tea that was the greatest phenomenon ever and might very well do my dishes for me.
What I’ve experienced is somewhere bewteen these extremes. I like it! I find it just a touch more chai-y than pumpkin-y, but its a tea that warms and reminds me very much of autumn. This isnt an active adoration tea, where every sip is a swoon. This is a passive enjoyment tea, where I dont have to pay too much attention to it, but I enjoy it all.
Yay pumpkin!
This Darjeeling is positivly mellow! Its got a little bit of a coppery taste to it, and less of the greeny undertone that I have come to expect from a Darjeeling.
An excelent cup for this afternoon. I need caffine, and a good afternoon tea is just the ticket.
A million thanks to Fuzzy_Peachkin for providing me with the cutest little tin of this that you ever did see.
Six hours of sleep last night. Lets just say that it was agony to haul my carcass out of bed this morning.
Rewarding myself with this lovely vanilla blend.
Day two of waking up totally exsausted. Bravo, sleep schedule, bravo.
Hopefully tomorrow I will have plenty of tea, and today I will nurse along with tea!
I just had to try some of this. The words “spice cake” were being bandied about, and I love spice cake.
Very clove-y, and I’m getting some phantom ginger taste.
I can see why so many people think this should have been part of the winter collection, not the autumn.
I like it, though I’m getting more spice than sugar, and I think it could have done well with a touch more sugary sweetness to it.
A cozy sweater tea. I think this will come into its own in the winter time.
Its cooled down here just enough that its not agony to get a cup of tea during my lunch break, so I headed to Peets, and got some of this.
It might be weird, but this reminds me a bit of juice. The currant flavor is very light, and pleasant too.
A good choice for today.
Today is going to be the only day for a good solid week where it will be below 90 degrees. So I am celebrating with an autumnal tea!
The balance of cranberry and almond is very nice. I hope it gets cooler soon, so that I can drink more of this.
I like this. So pepperminty chocolatty that I am willing to risk it at night, when normally I am timid of. I will drink it all down. Yum.
