From Sil. A perfect one-mug packet, too.

It’s not bad. Quite chocolatey. A little spicy. Not really a flavour combination I go for in my teas.

I’m enjoying it with some milk this morning. And some cheese. Haha.

Thanks, Sil!

Mmm, dairy-laden breakfast. I could go for some cheese for breakfast too haha.

I don’t have a lot of groceries because I’m trying super duper hard to not waste food/keep to a budget. And no leftovers either. So cheese was the first thing I saw that didn’t need cooking! I’ll have to make a pot of rice and roast up some squash and sweet potatoes.

It sounds like we have similar ingredients in the house and are trying out similar strategies too. At least I picked up more veggies the other day, and ingredients to make two sandwiches. Haha so sad.

Yeah. I’m a food stockpiler, so to look in my cupboards right now I get really worried. I mean, I know it’s OK (I have hiking food separate in case of emergencies), but it’s still worrying!

It’s so challenging to find that balance of enough food in the house to actually have meals, and not wasting perishables. I’ve gotten pretty good about buying veggies from the store down the street and reserving big shopping trips for things that are processed, meat which can go in the freezer or non-perishables.

I get keepers in large quantities, mostly. Kabocha, sweet potatoes, onions… :) I love salads but I never manage to eat everything before it goes bad. And right now I have orange peppers in the fridge (huge bag for $1!) that I need to use somehow. Why did I get them? I don’t really like peppers…

I mostly drink black tea.

Also: A map of tea places in Vancouver. I’ve been to some of them, but not a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
