This tea is my favourite tea hands down! The dry tea is quite sweet smelling and smells like chocolate and hazelnuts. It kind of reminds me of the smell of coffee, probably because chocolate scent is in the same vein and hazelnut is a coffee flavour staple. You see familiar rooibos sprinkled with hazelnuts and some chocolate chips.
Steeped the sweet scent isn’t quite as strong and it has the red liquor that rooibos is known for. When steeped it smells less like coffee, not so much of an acidy note, but still like chocolate and hazelnut. As a plus I haven’t noticed an oily sheen to the tea that many teas with chocolate tend to have when steeped.
It tastes wonderful! Rooibos and this chocolate hazelnut are a winning combo. It is mellow and comforting and leaves a delicious sweet chocolate hazelnut aftertaste on your tongue.
This perfect for fall and winter cozy tea can give you a nice, rich dessert fix without all the sugar.
I could drink this tea all day and I do!

I added this tea and accidentally entered the wrong ingredients and haven’t been able to change the original info. The ingredients are rooibos, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, and natural flavour.
This tea was suggested to me by the woman serving me. I wanted something decaffinated and spicy to drink on these crips fall days. It was between this and I chai but I went with this.
This tea is perfect for this time of year and winter too. The spices are nicely blended together. Beautiful orange flavour and I’m glad I got this. I will be getting more when I run out.

I got a free 50g baggie of this for buying x amount of tea products and I’m glad I didn’t actually spend money on it.
Dry it smells warm and I want to say mysterious :P The cinnamon and chocolate smells delightful and if you pick out the chocolate pieces they are quite tasty! The cinnamon adds a nice spiciness to the chocolate chunks.
Unfortunately like a lot of people have pointed out when this tea is brewed it is a bit weak. I’m left feeling like there is something missing. I still drink it from time to time but it wont be disappearing anytime soon.

This tea is what I would describe as bright. It has a lovely, clean juicy citrus scent. When steeped the green tea is mellow and the lemon and lime tastes are in perfect proportion. The lemongrass adds a nice lemony soft taste to the bunch, you can taste all the flavours at once in this tea. Not too much or too little, just right. If you want to try a citrus green tea that is not too bland and not too tart try this!

Wow this tea smells so good dry, intoxicatingly so. The scent is more toned down when steeped, less intense than sniffing straight from the bag. The flavour is also a bit different. Rooibos tasting with a mellow caramel taste. Not bad with brown sugar and a bit of milk. I’ve just finished off the rest and, while it wasn’t bad, I do not think I’ll be getting it again. For myself I would have like it to have a little more complexity to it.

I really enjoy a good cup of Gen Mai Cha tea. If you like the green tea they serve at Japanese restaurants you will enjoy this. I agree with thewaterbird’s review that this tea is actually better than a lot of the teas they serve in some restaurants. The subtle sweetness and toastiness from the rice are a perfect pairing. A very comforting cup that lends itself well either with food or on it’s own. Morning or evening and any other time of day I find myself reaching for this often. Silk Road did a good job with this one.
