Going to bump this up a bit because I added a little bit more leaf and brewed at a lower temperature and my god, this is strawberries and cream. It reminds me of the strawberry flavored Pocky (Japanese snack) because it’s sweet and creamy.

Not too fruity, but this steep i’m tasting more of the black tea blended in this than the green. The pomegranate isn’t as prominent as I was hoping but maybe I should have given this a good shake before scooping the leaves out.

Added a bit more leaf and wow, the white chocolate really stands out! I’m not a big fan of white chocolate so I’m not digging it so much because it’s overpowering the raspberry. It certainly adds creaminess so I’d recommend this if you love chocolate fruity teas.

It is time to go into another happy place. I have a lot of work to do before I can study for another midterm next Tuesday. Luckily Monday is a holiday, however I have plans to go into San Francisco for part of that day.

Light with a hint of floral. Next month my friend is going to Paris for her honeymoon so I asked her to get me some MF teas while she was there.

So I added a little bit more leaf and got a very strong strawberry and cream flavor. I wouldn’t say this is a dessert tea, but it’s definitely sweet. I like this tea after a long day and in need of a pick me up. I should order more from DTT when I work my stash down some more.

I tried steeping this one with more leaf and this time I definitely got chocolate, but not so much peppermint. I knew this tea was more of a chocolate rooibos tea with some peppermint, but I would have really liked for this to have tasted like an andes mint. It’s still a great tea to get rid of the voice that is telling you to eat chocolate, but man I wanted more mint. :(

Picked this up during my latest run to Target and I was not expecting to enjoy this tea so much. I normally don’t like coconut so I was hoping the vanilla and lemongrass would compliment it well enough that it wouldn’t bother me. Well, I can definitely taste the base and all the flavors work in harmony of it. The base is very light and not very vegetable and has just a hint of natural sweetness.

I had some fun getting my makeup done, bought some shoes, put together a birthday dinner for my Dad and finished all my immediate homework. I deserve this cup of tea.

I doubled up on the leaf and I can get more of the raspberry and white chocolate this time. It works really well with the base – sweet and creamy playing off of the vegetable taste of the white tea. But it’s not too grassy, just enough so you’re not hit with all the natural sweetness.

I really enjoy the base of this tea, but I still wish I got a little bit more plum. I added more leaf to my steep, which helped but I still want to be hit by plum. Maybe this is because I’ve been drinking a lot of heavily flavored teas lately.

Profile

Bio

I became a tea addict after I decided to make some changes to my diet and cut out soda completely.

Teas I like
I love Japanese green teas but I can be a little snobby about them. When I was in Japan I stayed in an area known for sencha, so I can be pretty picky.

Companies I enjoy
I’ve had most experience with Lupicia because they’re very close to me. I enjoy their non flavored green teas and white teas the most. Their flavored teas are good, but it’s usually a hit or miss.
DavidsTea is a bit far but when I make trips to San Francisco I usually buy a bit. I like their herbal teas the most. Their other teas never wow me and have too much flavoring for me.
I like Adagio for their fan blends – I wish more companies did this! The tea isn’t the best quality but I do enjoy my initial steeps.
I found a store near me that sells Mariage Frères. They’re expensive but I don’t think I have had a more delicious cup of tea before.

Tibits about me
I returned to school several years ago and I am finally graduating in March 2014 so I’m really excited to finally be receiving my bachelor’s. I spend my evenings when I’m not studying watching cheesy scifi movies, playing video games, watching video game streams, or stalking the internet for tea. I have an adorable old man kitty who always wants whatever I’m drinking. When I can, I like to sew and knit while I marathon BBC shows or asian dramas.
