drank Honey Drop by DAVIDsTEA

I bought this tea because it claims to be an immunity boosting orange, ginger, lemon tea. I do not typically like citrus based teas, however with honey being in the name, I was hopeful for some sweetness that would counteract it.
I travel on the subway a lot and so an occasional immunity boost would be a welcomed edition to my routine.

The smell of the tea before being brewed made me a little worried, but after I left it to brew for a good 6 minutes or so, the smell was more of a lemon citrus honey smell and I was pleased.

The taste was nice, well balanced not really sweet but certainly not that tartness you get from lemon and orange . I could taste the honeybush as well as a little bit of ginger.
I enjoyed this cup and it was better than I had expected. It is just not something I would reach for on a typical night. If I was feeling ill, or traveling or had a co-worker come in ill, I could see myself drinking several cups of this a day with no problem. (however I cannot vouch for how well it will keep me from getting ill).

I am a sucker for a good fruity, creamy, peachy dessert tea, and this blend most surely delivered. The raspberry was light and the cream was not overwhelming but they both complimented the peach nicely. I could get a nice light hibiscus flavor through each sip as well that really took the tea to a whole new level.
This tea was sweet, and did not need any sort of sweetener or milk added to it.
I would have liked a little more of a vanilla flavor somewhere in there just to turn the creaminess from a sweet cream to an ice cream

drank Just Beet It by DAVIDsTEA
50 tasting notes

This tea had come with a set I bought, and I was not sure how much I would enjoy it at first. It had a very strong and very fruity smell, once brewed. After the first sip I was taken back by how much I enjoyed it. It had a fruity strong taste, that made me feel like I could go out and do anything. I do not taste too much of the beet which in my opinion is good because I have never really enjoyed beetroot.

I plan to enjoy the rest of this tea and will probably purchase more at some point because I really do enjoy it, it just is not something I need to go pick up more of this weekend.

drank White Chocolate Chai by DAVIDsTEA

I have been getting more and more into the chai flavor recently and this tea really hit the spot.
I had all the flavors I wanted with a chai, cinnamon, cardamon, cloves and a little bit of ginger, and as a bonus it had a wonderful chocolate taste to it.
The white chocolate did not overwhelm or take over the flavor of the chai, it just added a nice chocolate sweetness to it.
I would still recommend this tea if you don’t like white chocolate because I feel like the white chocolate makes the chai flavors come out in such a way you only get a lighter more traditional chocolate taste, with the bonus of a little extra creaminess.

It was not too sweet as I was expecting it may be, because when I think white chocolate I normally think too sweet.

I plan to not only continue to drink this blend often but it has inspired me to branch out and look for more chocolate chai teas.

I was excited and I was let down… slightly.
I was promised cookie dough, when I think of cookie dough I think of sweet, chocolaty, buttery pre-baked goodness.
Brewed the smell is yummy, like when the cookie dough first starts to almost melt in the oven. However when I tasted it, I did not get that cookie dough taste, I got a lot of the strong white tea taste. I can get a slight chocolate aftertaste, and a little nutty flavor, but I do not get a cookie dough flavor. It was really lacking a sweetness for me.
I do enjoy teas that have that more traditional white tea flavor and are not clouded with other ingredients to make it taste like a dessert, so I did overall enjoy this cup of tea.
My problem was it just did not taste as described or what I wanted in that moment. I wanted a dessert tea, something sweet and creamy and now I just want to go get some cookie dough out of the freezer.

drank Apple Custard by DAVIDsTEA
50 tasting notes

Custard is one of those flavors that I enjoy quite a bit, but can never have too much of because I find it really rich.
This tea was a great solution to that, I found it to probably have the best creaminess I’ve ever had in a tea. I could taste the apple, which was surprisingly strong.
The custard flavor was light and creamy but not so rich that I wouldn’t enjoy this tea often. It does not require any kind of sweetener or milk in my opinion.
My critique may be that this tea has a very light and subtle flavor, so while I taste the wonderful custard and the apples, It could be enhanced with an even stronger flavor.
I will be enjoying this tea often and most likely will purchase more with my next online order.

drank Movie Night by DAVIDsTEA
50 tasting notes

This tea was a buttery delight.
The tea was sweet and buttery and tasted just like popcorn! It has a nice caramel taste in the background.
The green tea taste is not really present in the tea, which I guess is a good thing because I can’t imagine it would taste as good with that green tea taste.
As much as I very enjoy this tea it is almost too buttery for me, so I sip it very slowly. So in the future this tea for me will be like a nice treat rather than a tea to sip while doing work.
I could surely see myself enjoying this tea during the next movie night I have with my boyfriend.

drank Monster Mash by DAVIDsTEA
50 tasting notes

The smell of this tea is comforting.
It smells like a lot of very fall things, from a pumpkin candle, to a pumpkin pie baking in the oven.
I can taste the pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and just general fall, if that was a taste. The blend was smooth, and the spices where not overwhelming. I get a slight hint of apple in the background as well.
Overall it was a very nice tea, I just think it would be much better as a latte or even with some sort of honey or agave, or maybe maple syrup.
This is a shorter review because I feel the tea was exactly as described, it was well balanced and had a nice aftertaste.
I am just missing that one thing that makes me feel like it is a tea I want to drink everyday all the time… what that is, I am unsure.

drank Peanut Butter Cup by DAVIDsTEA
50 tasting notes

This tea was a creamy delight. From the peanut butter smell to the smooth taste. I very much enjoyed this tea.
I tasted the peanut butter, a little bit of chocolate. It was not a peanut taste, it was definitely a peanut butter taste and that is strange because I had always considered the flavors to be very similar but after tasting this tea, I feel like I can understand the complexities of the difference between peanuts and peanut butter.
I would say I taste less chocolate than in a traditional peanut butter cup, but I would not change that about the tea.
I am still learning about teas however I was surprised this was an herbal blend. It had a lighter taste than a black tea would have, I think it really brought out the peanut butter without weighing down the tea.

This is a tea I hope to enjoy for a long time.

drank Read My Lips by DAVIDsTEA
50 tasting notes

After reading the description of this tea, I was excited. It looks cute has all the flavors I love and a clever name.
I was not disappointed, the flavors of peppermint, chocolate and the black tea. What I liked about tasting the black tea within the flavors is it made it feel less like a dessert tea and more like a nice flavored black tea. I am very glad it has dark chocolate chips rather than milk chocolate, it complements the black tea flavor. The flavors are present but not overwhelming. It is still a rather sweet tea however.
As much as I love the ascetics of the red lip sprinkles, I would be okay without them in the tea. It is still a brilliant brew none the less. One I plan to enjoy for many more nights… perhaps as a latte.
