I loved the smell, color and the general flavors that are in this tea, but I found there to be a little too much lavender in it for my liking. I happily finished my cup, and it was a very calming zen type feeling tea. I just wished I had a little less of the lavender and more of the other flavors like mint and blueberries.

Maybe if I am having a little spa day or I am in need of some relaxing self reflection time, I could see myself enjoying another cup.

drank Forever Nuts by DAVIDsTEA

I was brewing this tea this morning and my roommate woke up and said it smelled so good she thought I was baking snickerdoodles. Granted it wouldn’t be out of character for me to be whipping up a batch of cookies at 7 in the morning… all I was doing was brewing this tea.
I cannot say this tea taste like snickerdoodles, but it does have a wonderful cinnamon taste mixed in with the nuts, apple and buttery goodness.
As I have been sipping this tea throughout the morning I go back and forth between absolutely loving it and feeling it is just not what I want right now. I came to the conclusion while this is a wonderful tea, it is a tea I need to enjoy later in the day, while reading a book or eating a snickerdoodle cookie.
The apple brings out a really nice sweetness to it all, keeping it nutty but not bitter

I’ve heard people say this one reminds them of donuts/apple fritters, so snickerdoodles don’t seem like too much of a stretch :P

drank Valerian Nights by DAVIDsTEA

I had not read too much on this tea before purchasing, but I did notice it is a rather popular blend. I let it brew for a good 6 minutes before I tried any and actually decided to just leave the tea bag in the cup while I drank it. I could really taste the different things that went into the tea, I had that slight creaminess and a hint of coconut. I did not get too much caramel until I was about half way through the cup so I think next time I’ll let it steep longer. As much as I was enjoying this tea, there was some herb or flavor that I kept getting, that I was not the biggest fan of, I didn’t mind it but it just felt a little out of place for my liking.
Overall I did enjoy the tea and will enjoy what I have left of it, I might purchase more if my next couple of cups don’t have that same taste, or if it changes more after a longer steeping.

This was a sample in an order and I regret waiting so long to try it because it is now retiring soon. It taste similar to a sweet green tea walnut cookie.
The green tea taste is still there among the sweetness and the nutty flavors. To be honest I am not really a person who eats walnuts very often, but found this tea to be a nice treat.
If it came back in stores, I would probably purchase some because I find it to just be a really nice balance, not too any one element

drank Pomegrateful by DAVIDsTEA

This is a very fruity tea, being a white tea I was expecting a lighter flavor.
After my first few sips my first thought was that I would rather have it iced.
Then I started to really taste the pomegranate and the complexities of tea and I enjoyed the rest of the cup hot and with the decision I would probably have it hot the next time I brew myself a cup.
The pomegranate is very strong, so if you are looking for a light white tea with a pomegranate flavor this is not it.
I can see myself enjoying more of this as we transition from summer to fall and even deep into the fall/winter seasons.

Definitely makes sense that this feels like a transitional tea for you into autumn/winter – pomegranate is usually consider a winter flavour, and it originally launched during the holidays too. Personally not a fan of this one as I find it really similar to a lot of teas on our wall; but I get why it’s so beloved.

drank Cotton Candy by DAVIDsTEA

I have always loved Cotton Candy, from the type you get at the fair to cotton candy ice cream. I was excited for this tea, and I am still very excited.
I decided to start my day with this tea, because I wanted something sweet and fun. I brewed it with about two perfect spoons because I really wanted that strong flavor. Starting with the smell, it smells just like fresh cotton candy. I had my first sip, and was very happy, it was sweet and sugary and still had that slightly bitter rooibos taste somehow (but I found that to be more of an aftertaste).
I do not think I would add sugar to this tea just because I do find it to be very sweet. I might add milk, or maybe try it as a dessert latte next time.

My problem does come in when it comes to the aftertaste of the rooibos, its a little strong and not very sweet, not a bad flavor just not the same flavor of the tea.

drank Organic The Skinny by DAVIDsTEA

This is not a tea that I would typically purchase for myself, however this came with a few other teas in a set. I now however, could see myself purchasing more.
This was light, and a very natural oolong flavor mixed with a light pu’erh taste and a slight orange citrus background note.
This is a type of tea that I could drink when I am studying, relaxing, doing a spa day or reading a book.
Based on the description from DAVIDsTEA’s website, it is supposed to help with weight loss and general goodness for your body.
If I feel any difference or any slight weight loss it could become an after work regular. Overall, it is a very great and natural tea, a welcomed change from my typical dessert tea trend.

drank Beauty Queen by T2

This was a new purchase and one I am really loving.
It has that light natural slightly grassy green tea taste, complimented with hints of mint, rose, herbs and wood.
It is supposed to have beneficial qualities for your health and beauty. I am not an expect on all those sorts of benefits but I will try to do my best to research it some more.

This is a wonderful and light blend that I could see myself having often. It has the perfect balance of floral, grassy and mint goodness.

drank Choco Chaga Detox by DAVIDsTEA

I brewed this tea after wanting to have a nice late afternoon treat that wasn’t fruity or too dessert like but still sweet.
I cannot say that this tea was sweet, but it did satisfy my craving for chocolate. While brewing it smelled like a tootsie roll (according to my roommate), and while it did have a very strong nice chocolate taste, it was not a sweet chocolate, more comparable to a very dark chocolate. It did not have a creaminess, or a strong aftertaste. I could taste a little bit of like a natural bitterness as well.

I am someone who does love a good piece of dark chocolate, and so this is something I enjoyed. It was however not something I would recommend for someone looking for a nice chocolate tea unless you want that slightly bitter dark chocolate taste.

It is not a tea that I could drink too often because it is rather unique combination for me, that I do not crave too often.

I received this tea as a sample the last time I was in store. I am not typically a matcha tea drinker however that may soon change.
I followed the instructions diligently (especially since I do not have a matcha whisk) and am inexperienced making it.
This tea smelled exactly like salted caramel, so much so you would of thought I had some heating on the stove top.
From the first sip I could taste the smooth salted caramel with a medium strength green tea matcha taste. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. I could taste almost a custard creaminess along with the sweet grassy taste.
I have always loved green tea, and I have enjoyed matcha in things such as cookies, ice cream and oatmeal, but drinking it alone has just never been to my liking.
It was very smooth, and easy to drink. I made it without any milk but if I purchase more I will most surely be trying this as a latte.
As much as I enjoyed this tea, I still believe that matcha is something I can enjoy on occasions, rather than a tea I could have every day or even every week.
